EXCLUSIVE: Arshad Warsi calls Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan superstars; says, “They don’t need social media for anybody to know they are stars”

Arshad Warsi has made a name for himself in Bollywood by playing much-loved characters in films like the Munna Bhai, Golmaal and Dhamaal franchises, Jolly LLB, and more. The actor – who will soon be seen on the big screen playing the titular character in Bandaa Singh Chaudhary, recently sat with Bollywood Bubble for an exclusive chat about life, films and the future.

When asked about stardom in the age of social media, Arshad Warsi said, “Unfortunately, stardom today is become (a) manufactured product, it is not real anymore. It’s an illusion. It’s a created and manufactured stuff. Stardom for me is Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. These are stars and they have stardom. They don’t need social media for anybody to know that these people are stars – I think that is stardom, not the followers you have or the followers you brought.”
